We are staying at the Mendenhall Campground in the National Park. The campground boarders the glacier lake on one side and is filled with many beaver ponds, of which this is one. While I was painting at dusk, 2 beavers were quite active - one was swimming with tree branches across the water to add to their nest on a small island. The other beaver seemed to like to play with the campers - it would consistently swim about 20 ft from shore when people walked on the low bridge, smack it's tail a few times and then dive.
